Here is my new map, called BX_Foundation. It is a remake of Halo 2's multiplayer map 'Foundation'. A very simple, symmetrical map that should provide some good game play. After downloading, put the file BX_Foundation.sub into the data/maps folder. Then take the swiss01.png file and replace the one already in the data/textures/mapTextures folder. Feedback is always appreciated

i think this remake is a bit too large and should instead be size 64x64 and not 128 square other wise it is a nice map at first look at it but i will look at it a little more in a few moments

I think it's great. I don't know how accurate it is to the size in Halo.. but the size seems good for about 8 players in Subvein. Just imagine when vehicles come out.. doing burnouts down in the pit area. SWEET!

Just remember, the map size stated, doesnt always mean thats how big it is. There can be alot of space around the map that isnt actually used. Mine is set at 128x128, but the playable area is only 85x85.
But i think its actually a good size. Once you get a few more people on it, it works out well. Any smaller and it would feel a bit cramped.
Edit: Just fixed a little bug where you almost always spawn right in the doorway. Now you should spawn inside more often. The spawn area instead just extends a little outside of the rooms.

yeah i thin your both right about teh size of this but maxed plasma is crazy powered (but changing the gansters to only 1 death thingy will make it right i reckon) and i still think there should be a small amount of stat building when you get synergies as i would like to see more people choosing non mixed character builds and hose that are are about 1/4 of the players and are mized because it is more thier playstyle and not because they are trying to wipe out everything like mixing all the health skills does atm.
EDIT: I shpould probably move this post to the playtest topic when it gets made

Made another few changes. To make it more like the real map, i have removed the collision around the cover in the center of the map and added texture to it. Now you can easily snipe someone on the other side of the map, without having to worry about it hitting the center cover (as it is below the height of the upper level) You can also now throw grenades over the walls to hit people hiding in it. For a cosmetic change, i messed around with the power cores on the sides of the upper level. Now they light up as they should, being filled with radioactive plasma energy

This map has had an update. It has been revamped to be more accommodating to vehicles (i.e bigger and accessible ramps). I have also made it into a checkpoint map so you can race around on it. It is a 2 circuit lap, 1st around the upper level then around the structure in the middle of the map. You can check it out and help playtest to see how it goes on my server, or just wait for Ben to include it in the next update Should be a good one. If you do find anything that looks off, then just post it here or tell me in game.

Great work, I really like this map, hopefully even more with better vehicle access!
