Ben asked me about three months ago to try and make some sort of soundtrack to the Subvein menu. I did send over a quick try some weeks ago, but there was no reply so I guess it was shit. We kinda lost the "soundtrack" feel in it and it started to become more like a theme song, while it was meant to be quite simple it ended up being a very multi-dimensional song. Special thanks to Ajaa for her "Welcome to Subvein"- clip. Feedback and critique would this time be really really appreciated. If it's not wanted or fitting I want honest statements so that I can maybe use this song somewhere else. MrSocialdisease - Riffs Smilecythe - Beats, keys, stuffs etc

I'm sensing similarities to Twisted Metal Black's main theme, which is always a good thing. I like it, and although I'm not sure what the style Bence envisions in his game, this would be something that could work. Will be playing around with it; really good work as always Smile!

Wow, this music is great. Also the Welcome to Subvein sample sounds really cool. Alas, from 3:00 onwards there is too much guitar in my opinion. More electronic sounds would be great. Also keep in mind that this piece of music will be repeated all the time in the menu. Maybe you could make a seamless transition between beginning and end?? Don't know if it is better to have the music fade in and out or to have seamless music.
Anyway, this is great stuff!

Sounds awesome Smilecythe! I especially like the evil background melody. I don't think I'd put it as the menu theme in its current form though as it's just not quite what I'm looking for. Of course it's kinda hard for me to actually describe what I'm looking for as I'm not a very musical person :p
I think mostly there's just too much "stuff" going on. If I was to give Subvein a menu theme it'd have to be subtle, simple yet evil sounding background music. Electric guitar sounds too messy and loud I think. However if you skip to 2:05 to 2:19 where it gets quiet and you have that simple quiet bit that's a lot closer to what I'm looking for. It's got an eerie melody, a nice amount of static/grungy noise in the background but not overpowering and a good beat too. Simple and Subveiny! Of course it doesn't have to be that exact melody and it would need to be at least a minute or so, so it's not too repetitive. But yeah that's kinda more what I'm looking for I spose.
Anyway the song itself sounds very cool, but IF I was to put a song in the Subvein menu it'd need to be a bit more subtle.

Is this more suitable to ingame soundtracks? Or perhaps it would fit to some action packed gameplay trailer more, remember you have this around incase you someday decide to make a new trailer. By the way ben, did you hear my previous try yet? I pm'd it to you and all, but there was never feedback or reply from you. It's mostly just that dark evil tune you liked here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhHC5ULB9ZEI can go to pure dark ambience next if even this one doesn't sound right.
